I bought a 2019 Honda Accord sport for this very reason, I drive about 30k a year and it gets around 34 mpg. MRSP was around 28k and I got it for a little less than 22k OTD at the beginning of 2020. I drive it for work... which is a long commute which makes up about 85% of my driving.
it saves me about 185 a month in gas, minus the 45 in insurance.
my payment is around 300 a month, but when I sell the accord it’ll like be worth around 14k, which is were the savings will really be (will make back $195 worth of payment).
So essentially it’s saving me $30 a month, I have two vehicles and the JT is getting way less miles so it just makes sense to me in my situation.
