Sounds good. JL and JT owners have been posting paint defects mostly on the doors, tailgates and hoods which were aluminum. Can tell by the picture but those defects look like bubbling under the paint. Ford owners also experienced the same poor paint prep.Aluminum doesn't matter for this sort of "defect". The prep processes are the same for the final finish.
This isn't bubbling or aluminum corrosion, and it's not on an edge or near anything else.
I have painted aluminum bumpers on one of my cars.
I repainted them during the body restoration about 10 years ago. The prep was identical to anything else I've ever painted. The original finish from decades before was good, but rock chipped and faded.
In almost every case, it's at the edge or at a hinge location.Sounds good. JL and JT owners have been posting paint defects mostly on the doors, tailgates and hoods which were aluminum.
