I did a search but wasn't coming up with what I was looking for.
This has to be something discuss regularly, but I'm looking to replace my BFG KO2 tires. I am running them in a 37x12.5r17 and am very underwhelmed with their actual sizing. I have had them on the vehicle for maybe 4k miles and they measure at about 35" when the weight of the vehicle is on them. Now certainly tires will lose a little from listed heights when they're on the vehicle but I didn't expect the listed 36.5 would lose 1.5".
With that said I would really like something as close to 37 when on the vehicle as possible. I'm likely going to make the switch to a M/T and one with a 13.5 measurement instead of 12.5. The closest I have seen in person would be the Toyo Open Country M/T. That one new was measuring 36.25" on the same truck. I had considered the Milestar Patagonias but have found that there are a few Youtubers that swear by them but then a bunch of others who I'd trust their opinion more claiming they're not very good.
So the question is: what tire/brand is going to measure closest to a 37 when installed? Leaning toward Toyo or Nitto.
