Supposedly the 5100s are stiffer than the Eibachs. I've been happy with the Eibachs so far. I do in general prefer a more controlled ride and they're way way better than the Fox Rubicon shocks in that aspect. I don't find them overly harsh.

I tow a rv 4-5 times a year. Need a little stiffer shock. I have timbren bumpstops. They help. 5100s are cheaper but always used eibachs on race cars. Loved them. No need to over think.
