Who ordered front camera?

I've seen a few orders (one being Sting Gray, what I ordered) that were recently delivered with front facing cameras. I don't want to jinx it, but it kind of seems like they are pumping them out pretty fast now. One person ordered and it was being shipped to the dealer just at a month.

From reading the posts around the forum I get the feeling that the cameras were only unavailable for a few days and were back quickly.

I ordered an LE, so it comes with it. But prior to ordering I looked for a Rubicon with it and couldn't find one in-stock. While not a total deal breaker, it was something I preferred to have.

I have no realistic need for it. It was purely a want for me.

Same here, I got the LE so I got the forward facing camera. I will say that my wife likes it quite a bit when she drives, parks, etc. I've also used it a couple of times just to 'play around' but I can see some definite uses in urban settings.

I ordered LOD mid width signature from Morris 4x4 during 4th of July sale when it was on sale plus additional 10% off. Bumper and skid plate OTD $615. Will post pics of view with camera after installed. I like Mopar steel but couldn’t orde with my JT. It’s too expensive if not buying when ordering.

Any chance you posted a picture of your bumper with the forward facing camera? Maybe I missed it.
Did the bar get in the way at all with the camera? This is the bumper I'm looking at going with so I want to make sure the bumper does not impede the camera.

Im afraid i would get it then an aftermarket bumper would make it near useless or something. :/

I could not order it or I would have.

I got my aftermarket camera mount built and installed, but have not run the wiring yet.

Do you have a junsun? I can’t imagine the quality measures up to Garmin or Sony??

I put the identical unit in my JK. It was fantastic. It didn't have a back up camera so that was a conventional install. I built a mount that went behind the spare wheel.

I have posted about that camera before, it is an awesome buy. Camera, hard wire kit and 64gb SD card well south of $150.

ETA : Garmin and Sony are also going to use the Chinamans cameras, they aren't hand crafted by artisinal Japanese electronics technicians.

And here is the first prototype camera mount I built for the JT. I couldn't get the camera far enough through the grille that the camera wasn't seeing the "slots", nor could I get it pointed downward enough,

so I moved on to redesign. The camera as mounted now will see the ground a little less than 4 feet in front of the bumper.

It displays on a rear view mirror that covers the existing rear view mirror. So it will record dual forward images, one from the mirror height and one from the grille continuously. You select the image that you want by swiping the screen left to right, and can pan up and down by swiping up or down. Conventional front/rear mounting allows continuous dual image (front/rear) recording on up to 64gb micro SD card.

Turn the cameras off and you have a functional rear view mirror.
