Why can't I answer calls when iPhone plugged in and on CarPlay?

Any one know why when my iPhone is plugged in it will not let me answer calls? When my phone is not plugged in and on blue tooth i don't have a problem answering the calls. Only when I'm plugged in and on car play. They cant hear me nor can i hear them.

Yes. 2 different ones. My phone works just fine on my Apple Car Play in my truck. Just not in the Jeep.

Something doesn't add up here. If you've truly gotten CarPlay activated and working when you plug your phone in, you're using the correct Apple cable. You, obviously, have Siri enabled as well. You should post some pics of what your screen displays when attempting to make a call via CarPlay. Your UI should look exactly like your phone. Are other features working? Navigation? Podcasts? Music?

Can you hear Siri talking, like if you ask a question, or using Maps?

I got it figured out. Even though my radio was playing once I plugged into CarPlay I didn’t realize there is a bother volume control one even u try to make a call. All I had to do was turn the volume up on my radio again. Lol. Everything works fine now.
