Do you you would have cleared the part you removed if you did 1.5" spacers?

With the little "closure panels" as Jeep calls them installed and not trimmed, you'd be very close to rubbing even with the 1.5" spacers in front. One thing you could do is use the stock wheels....that would pull the tire inside the fenders more and would likely clear just fine at that point.

I chose to trim a little because I wanted to run less positive offset to get some tire outside the fender just a tad.

I did flex the truck out completely on off road trails and didn't have any issues once I went to the 2" total level in the front (1.5" spacer plus factory 0.5" spring isolator).
