call local installers. Windshields are not patent protected and all need to be made to a DOT specification. They probably quote you an OE one with the little JEEP sticker on it. Mine has gals coverage so my replacements are $50 deductible. FYI: most insurance companies will pay for a chip repair, you just have to call regardless of coverages. California does not allow a 0 deductible glass coverage but arizona does. It just varies state to state

forward crash control or whatever it is called is more because the sensors need to be recalibrated
once the new glass is installed.

I have no sensors in glass, Max Tow Sport, roll up windows, keyed locks. None of that fancy stuff on this Jeep. Oh, I’m in Mississippi, this also makes a difference

Not really. I've had it done without the calibration. It's typically covered as part of the glass installation, and is simple on a JT or JL.

Here we go trying to compare prices for different companies, different policies, different locations (that matters bigly) and more.

If you have comprehensive insurance, glass is typically covered, but you may have a deductible. You need to read your policy to see what your deductible is and what is covered or not. Asking on the internet will get you everything from $0 to $1,000 and "it's covered" to "it's not covered".

I have USAA and my windshield is covered under the comprehensive portion of my policy. Any new windshield only costs $100. Windshield coverage is a must for Jeep owners. It's not a matter of if your windshield will crack, it's a matter of when.

I've had mine replaced twice - both in my 2020.
I carry a $500 deductible to keep rates low - so that's all I had to pay. Didn't matter if the cost of replacement was $600 or $1,600, my deductible was 500 so that's all I had to pay.

People need to READ their policies, no one on the internet can tell them what it's going to cost them, only what the responding person paid, and that will be all over the map.

if you have "full coverage" and that typically includes "comprehensive" then you have glass coverage - what the deductible is will be in your policy which of course no one on the internet ever reads LOL

Drop shipped from China?
most glass is made in mexico right now. I have one in my jeep for 2 years now no issues. The are all made to a safety specification. Stellantis doesn't make windshields. And if everyone is needing to replace them so often does it really matter?

I know they don't make glass - I posted some of the companies that do waaay back in similar posts about windshields. Even Ford sold their glass works a few years ago.
But it does matter to me - yes, it's all supposed to be to certain specs, but you can just meet those, or have better glass.
And there are safety factors.
So for me, the cheap stuff is a hard pass.
To get the glass and have it installed in a quality way - if that price includes installation and glass........ something is too cheap.

That windshield is an integral part of the vehicle.
How it's installed matters. The quality of the glass layers matters.
I don't need the MOPAR logo on it, but I want to know it's good glass.

cars from china have far less problems than jeeps do LOL
Let's not even go there because we know the issue is the profile of the glass as much as some other criteria.
Again, that's been covered in depth in other threads.
Put that Chinese car's windshield more upright and see how long it lasts.
