Hey All,
I've had the Motorola MA1 forever and day, and it has always worked pretty well. (Every once and a while it would be fussy about connecting, but overall smooth sailing).
About 2 months ago I started having issues where the steering wheel button will no longer activates Google, it just does the native U-Connect voice commands. So I am stuck saying "Hey Google" to which 75% of the time my Jeep ignores me. To be fair to it, if I had to listen to me singing along with the radio, I would probably tune out as well!
It is odd though because Google tells me "You can activate me by using the button on your steering wheel"
Guessing it was a recent Android auto update but I don't see a firmware update for the Motorola dongle.
Was curious if anyone else had this problem and knew if there was a software update for the Jeep to fix this, or if you ended up switching to a different adapater?
FWIW I make lots of super short trips for errands so I really prefer wireless vs having to connect/disconnect phone all the time. For long trips I do use wired as it just works way better.
Thanks all!
