Well I'm with all of you on the receiver mount winch (s) using welder's cable for wiring too. Then too second on having in rear too. I ran my XJ with 8k Ramsey on front in receiver mount cradle and a early HF 8k on back same way. I've currently got 3 winches mounted on cradles for quick mount use. Another advantage with it is jump starting another vehicle you can from front or back of vehicle. Then too you have a cable for some ad hoc battery welding if needed. I've done a few welding "jobs" that have surprised more than a few with some cables and rods.
