In this locked thread on the JL Wrangler forum https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...ar-unnecessary-locked-due-to-politics.160505/

A JLUR owner removed his rear C pillar crossbar and half the forum went nuts talking about structural integrity.

Our JTs (and 2 door JLs IIRC) do not have that C pillar crossbar at all..

Is it the shape of the C pillars in our vehicles that make it unnecessary? Or is this a lot of huffing and puffing over nothing?

Perhaps since our rear pillars are so much closer to the front ones, they did not need the additional reinforcement to keep them from folding in a roll-over, where as the JL ones are a lot longer and tie into the body farther back.

Only speculation I have.
