Thanks. I may just pick one up. $236 shipped including tax direct from their website.I run a relatively heavy RTT (180lbs+) plus the Leitner rack and full length side boxes full. It helped the highway stability significantly! Since installing been to Moab, San Rafael Swell, Big Bend, and the Ozarks, I can't tell that at any time it has hindered me at all. I have been running on the middle hole for the entire time. I have heard of some once they get to the trail switching to the farthest rear hole "aka soft setting" but I think the middle for me is the sweet spot for both on/off-road. I have considered trying closest or stiffest setting just to see, but haven't been overly motivated to. Install was 20min tops, zero tire removal including the spare. 6 bolts.
Interesting. I would think XT would drop ship direct from WhitelineVerify they are in stock first if you can. I ordered direct and after a week did not have shipping info. Called and they were out of stock. They apologized, said that it wasn't suppose to take my order if out of stock and offered a refund or wait. I was on a time crunch so they credited me and I I ordered from Extreme Terrain.
Yeah, 24mm vs 7/8” (22.2mm). I am a little concerned it will be too stiff. Will probably run it in the softest setting and see how it does. That whiteline bar is slightly larger than the Helwig correct?
I'm carrying a lot of weight so it might not be too bad. Plus when fully set up or a long camping trip it's quite a bit heavierYeah, 24mm vs 7/8” (22.2mm). I am a little concerned it will be too stiff. Will probably run it in the softest setting and see how it does.
I found a site selling a new Hellwig for $350 shipped vs $250 shipped for the Whiteline from XT, but they shipped so fast and it was too late to cancel. Lol
