I have looked for posts on this, wording it many different ways, but I am looking to buy a used bed rack and RTT and was wondering if anyone has a favorite option for used. What holds up better than others over time. Quality and price are obviously my 2 biggest topics on buying used. So if you have one for sale, please include pictures. Looking for soft shell, 2-3 person, mid height rack preferably. Also open to Billie bars if anyone has experience with them.

Corey, we need some info. How many person tent? Rack just for the tent or for storage in general? Hard shell or soft?
You can buy a new Smittybuilt tent for $1200 and a ladder rack with 800 lb capacity from Home Depot for $300. You can also easily spend twice that on used equipment.

Home Depot rack, Torro Off Road RTT.

Same RTT, @Max Modular aluminum rack with tonneau cover brackets. This is the 22" tall rack and 46" long. I am in the process of making it the 58" version. Love the rack!!

Tent with annex. Love the tent, annex is too much. My wife has since modified the annex and took 8" off the height of the sides and the geometry is much better now.

Have done plenty of trails with both set ups. All depends on what you want. Bed tents are cheap. SUV tents are awesome and we ran one for years! You can drive away from them like any other ground tent.

KB Voodoo has their Max Modular bed racks for the Gladiator and they typically have everything in stock and ship pretty fast.

After spending time in a RTT on a Wrangler, my wife and I decided for our new Gladiator to go with the Napier in bed tent with the Airbedz mattress and the napier annex. Although the RTT is extremely comfortable getting down from the tailgate height is much easier than RTT height, especially for old people. We have set it up, the bed tent, but haven't overnited yet, a little to wet and cold here in the NW. We anticipate this is going to be a great option for our overlanding adventurers.

Corey,
The sky is the limit and a small budget can be had. I've been running the Tepui Tent for over 5 years now. I started with a $300 universal rack. Upgraded to a trailer I custom built. Now I'm onto a Xtusion-Overland rack. So far this is my favorite set up.
I did just order the new Roofnest Condor-overland to gain some rack height and simplicity of setting up. Who know if I will like it but, money and time will tell.

That's really nice. How long did it take to get the rack? Are they on back or do they keep everything in stock?

I'm starting to look into different rack options.

I talked to the guys at Xtrusion-overland.com today and currently they are sitting around 3 weeks delivery time. With commodities being what they are. It could be a bit sooner or later.
Honestly this rack is pretty sweet. It's seen thousands of miles on and off road. No problems. And the best part, with a few diy modifications I'm able to accommodate my new tent when it arrives.

It's a small store but the people that own it and work there are great. Only other one I know of in texas would be offroadalliance.com in conroe-houston area I have ordered stuff from them with no problems.
