Xtreme Gravel Gear dual adjustable shocks. Anyone have any experience?

Yes, I recently installed these on my 2020 JLU Ecodiesel Wrangler. I have 4.5" lift in front and 3.75" in rear on 37" Tires. I am using the EGG Pro XL. These shocks are absolutely AMAZING!

Upon building my Jeep, I initially used Bilstein 5100's. They performed great on the street, but off road, I would constantly hit the bumpstops on the front end, this was due to the extra 300 lbs. of weight up front. I first suspected that my coils were the issue, but they were diesel specific.

So I replaced my front shocks with the Rough Country Vertex w/ 8 settings for compression. This worked pretty well when set to 8 offroad and 4 on the street, but I would still hit the bumpstops on occasion which really limited my offroading capabilities for anything other than crawling. That said, the RC Vertex shocks are really good shocks, and I had previously ran them on a gladiator the gas engine and had no complaints.

Next, I installed hydraulic bump stops, this greatly increased my ability to hit the rough stuff at higher speeds, but I wanted more.

I stumbled across the youtube video by JK Gear and Gadgets where they installed the Extreme Gravel Gear Pro XL's on their gladiator and they looked impressive, so I started looking into them.

After several emails back and forth with EGG, I decided to purchase the Pro XL's. For the front, they typically use piggyback reservoirs but I was concerned with clearance issues for my application so I asked if they had a remote version. They said they do not typically spec that for Jeeps but could custom make a set for me. So I gave them some measurements and they made them at no extra charge! Also, although EGG is out of New Zealand, all shocks ordered for USA are built at their California location! Also, they have a 3yr. warranty and are fully serviceable/rebuildable.

It took about 5 weeks from order date until I received them (to be fair I ordered the week before Thanksgiving, so there were holidays in that time frame). Upon arrival they were very well packaged and appeared to be of great quality. They weigh about 17 lbs. each for my application (4-5" lift).

They rode incredible on the street, and handled some rough railroad track crossings with ease. I had to play with the settings a bit. But found my sweet spot.

Off road they are amazing! Dialing in a few clicks of compression setting, I was able to handle 50-60mph runs down very rough downhill trails, easily keeping up with friends running fox 2.5 DSC and Fox 3.0 shocks. The adjustable rebound is amazing as you can really keep the ass end from getting airborne. The Jeep feels very stable and allows you to do shit, you never dreamed was possible.

Overall, I could not be happier! And they cost around $1800. And performed as good or better than the Fox 2.5 DCS that cost about $2800.

I saw the same video.. good to know your experiences matched his.

So they really are $900 a pair (and not each)?

I'm torn on what front length to get. The 4-5" is only 28.15 (715mm) and the 5-6" is 29.15 (740mm)
Currently on a Clayton 3.5" on 37s. I'm aware of the front driveshaft issues on the 5-6" shock, but for the price, I can buy a new one and still be cheaper than the FOX 2.5 DSCs.
