Went down to Big Bear for the first time and got to knock another BOH trail off the list. Went solo with the gf so didn’t want to do Holcomb or John Bull but will do that if I can get @Free2roam to come when I go again.

I had no idea how many trails and such were at Big Bear until we went up there around Halloween. Saw quite a few Jeeps and built rigs around town so looked it up on OnX’s site and WOW there were tons lol we’re going out there (Arrowhead Lake) for Christmas. Really wish I could hit up the trails but when there’s 6 of us that need to rely on the Glady to get home…I don’t wanna risk it lmfao

Pretty much all of the northern mountain area is one giant trail. They are all connected. The main sections like John bull, Holcomb Creek, gold mountain, heartbreak ridge and dish pan springs are the popular sections.

You can spend a few days just wheeling in Big Bear and camping.

In the Mountain state when it snows you get real thankful for black fenders and top . Between Mud and salt and gravel, Cinders paint fenders and tops just get tore up .

I got some trail rash on my rear bumper and then tore up my rock blocks which tore 2 pins out of the inner fender. Not too bad but I could have avoided the rock blocks if I had just taken them off instead of being lazy. So that was a bummer.

I ran Gold Mtn many many moons ago. Buddy had a cabin down across that dry lake bed at the head of the trail. Good times out in Big Bear to be sure!!!!
