Nice looking rack. I’m guessing based in the mounting feet style that it’s not compatible with a roll up tonneau cover, like the X4S?

This version would most likely not be compatible with the X4S or similar covers. We may develop a version that is, but it's not currently in the making.

I wish the cab bar didn't extend so high. It's a cool design, but the cab bar isn't to my liking.

Good observation and the only reason it's that way currently is because it's an add-on to our OverCab system. We intend to release a lower profile rear hoop for those who just want to run the BakPak by itself.

ME too. I am disappointed at how many things are not compatible with the X4s given that the gladiator version of it has T tracks.

Man I saw this rack in person at off-road expo recently in Pomona and man it's so awesome. Price is a bit expensive but again it is definitely worth it. Maybe in the future I can spring for the rack system and ditch my current rack. But, until then I will make do. At least my current rack I was able to mate with a x4s revolver tonneau.

Another X4S potential customer. The biggest appeal of something mounting to the X4S type cover is the ability to completely strip it when not camping/offroading. Being able to use my bed unobstructed was the reason I purchased the X4S with the anticipation of future rack options mounting to it.

Looks like a nice option though and metalcloak/ARS has a great reputation on these forums

Would the current cap hoop allow for full function of the soft top? I’m sure I can fully remove the top if needed but if I just wanted to open the top and flip it back would the hoop prevent that?

Thanks for asking and we haven't tested it directly on a soft-top JT, but from everything we've seen, the hoop on the BakPak should not interfere with the soft top. Once folded back, the vinyl may touch the hoop, but it shouldn't affect the operation of it.

Thanks for the reply! This isn't my truck below, but it was the best picture I could find on short notice of a soft top that had the top flipped open, without the rest of the back pieces removed. As you can see, the actual metal arms/brackets that support the top do peak over the back edge just a bit.

How, looking at a picture of the hoop from your website - it looks like the top should clear the hoop, but it might be tight.

Do you have a measurement of how high the hoop is at it's highest point? Also, how much clearance between the front side of the hoop and the back window?

Thanks!

I took some quick measurements the top of the hoop sits right at about 27" above the bed rails and it sits about 6" from the body line (shown in pic). I hope that helps give you some idea on how the sof
