So, my first time in Cape lookout. It was awesome. But expensive. Ferry ride was $427 bucks, OUCH! however 5 margheritas in I forgot all about that. Wish I had taken more picks. I think I have a cinematic my buddy I'll try to find and add. If you have any questions just let me know.

Looks like an awesome spot. I was just looking through some of the street view pins on google and found this at Cape Point. Sweet looking Mojave.

Dude it was so secluded. Beautiful beach with almost nobody on it.

Love that. East Beach in Rhode Island is similar. It's a roughly 3 mile stretch of beach that's permit only and limited to 30 trucks at a time so it keeps the crowds down. Only beach I enjoy going to in our area.

Yes, but only for self contained units with 4x4, meaning permanently mounted tanks so 4x4 RVs and vans. Travel trailers aren't allowed so I usually stay at Burlingame State Campground across the street with my travel trailer.

Unfortunately not. It's an annual $200 permit too so it wouldn't make much sense unless you're fairly local. The permit allows access to these areas:

$427? Wow. Do they charge by the pound?
Round trip?
yeah round trip. They heavily up the pricing if your over 25 ft or something like that. As wel as up the price per person from 20 bucks to 80.

It’s looks awesome. I’m definitely heading there when I get my camper.

Question:

How are the no see ums and mosquitoes compared to Ocracoke, HI, etc

p.s.

I just got one of those fire pits. My propane one takes up too much space. I’m going to try to cook a pizza on it with charcoal as an experiment this week.

A sweet retreat, indeed! Your photos are amazing! It's always nice to have more to look back on, but sometimes the best moments are the ones where you're just enjoying the experience.

Is the $427 one way or round trip?

what bugs?! its too windy for them fuckers. sheilding your cooking is a must. the wind isn't fast enough to bother you except for the 1 ish hour every afternoon where it blows stingy sand unless its wet. but cooking open surface is nigh impossible. Its steady enough to keep my pizza oven from hitting temp. however you setup, you need something big to block all of the wind or its juts cold food only. 427 is a round trip. I would have cooked inside my camper but apperently both my thermocouple are shit from the OE. so i had to black top it outside. learned i should have angled the camper better then. I also rock that firepit everywhere. Its awesome and really light.

I think we touched our phones maybe once a day to take pictures. other than that. when I'm camping the only thing allowed in my hand is Coors or a tiddy.

It’s beautiful - I miss the beach. But Dude!!!!! I’m still crying for you at 427 plus all the other carnival’ish leaching fees. Come West young man, keep at least some of your money, for your upgrades envelope.
