Yeah.. thanks. definitely trying to be flexible and roll with the punches. I’m determined to explore, have fun and have an experience. We’ll just find a way to enjoy whatever happens. Been planning this since 2020 and getting the Gladiator was a key part of the plan. Was originally thinking of driving a Wrangler Unlimited out with a small trailer. Just easier with a truck - all on one.

Loading up and trying out the slider. So far, so good. Lock/latch is touchy - will need to keep an eye on that.

We just took a two week camping trip in the Gladiator from PA to the Black Hills, the Badlands, Roosevelt NP, Devils Tower and a few days with friends in Williston, ND. It was pretty epic. We had talked about doing it for along time and just decided to quit talking and do it. My two kids loved it, as I predict your boy will. Cheapest gas was south of Madison, Wisconsin. Most expensive was in Illinois. So drive right through that state and save a few bucks! Have a great trip!

here’s my plan. We’ll see how it goes. I only got a Montana 5 day fishing license and we are just going to fishing access areas. No guides - not really a fly fisherman but we’ll see where it leads.
7/22 Pittsburg Pirates game
7/23 Cincinnati Reds game
7/24 John Deere museum and camping in Iowa
7/25 camping in Nebraska
7/26 camping in South Dakota and Mt Rushmore
7/27 camping in Montana - Custer Gallatin NF
7/28-7/31 stay in hotel in Yellowstone
7/31- 8/3 stay in house in the Gardiner Montana area and fly fish
8/3-8/5 stay in a house in the Victor Idaho and dune buggies
8/5camp in Montana Custer Gallatin - fish
8/6 camp in North Dakota
8/7 hotel in Minnesota
8/8-8/9 Milwaukee for Harley Museum and then camp in Northern Ohio
8/9 return home to Pennsylvania

you’ll notice some zig zagging. I’m trying to spend a night in all 50 states by the time I am 50. I need Nebraska, Montana, Idaho, and North Dakota to leave me with only 4 states to get to (Oregon, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma)

If you get a chance to visit the Little Bighorn National Battlefield while you're in the area, it's well worth the trip. It's an eye-opening visit. I'd read about the battle my entire life, but it didn't really "make sense" to me until I saw the terrain myself.
