Greetings all. Firstly, let me say thanks for all the great info shared by the members here. For an old guy like me, it has helped a lot. I know I won't have much to contribute, but I follow your postings, and appreciate the great spectrum of Jeep knowledge available. Again, thanks.

Now the question--I have a '22 JT Sport Max Tow with the basic steel wheels. I'm old school and do not like the black in combo with the Stingray body color. I have been given (free) the OEM alloy spoke wheels from a 2015 JK, 17" and I believe they share the same offset of 44.45 as the JT. Took a rear wheel off today in order to test fit the JK wheel, and the clearance from wheel to brake is only about 1/8 of an inch. My plan was to get a set of GY Duratracs (265/70/17)and have them mounted on the JK rims, and keep the Bridgestone Duelers (245/75/17). Then, swap them according to seasonal weather here in Indiana. My concern is that small clearance of the JK wheels to the calipers. Sufficient or no? I also know that I must use the JT lug nuts in both cases.

Thanks for any help, and all the best.

Welcome to the Forum! I’m sure you will enjoy and get a lot use with your new Gladiator. I don’t have an answer Re. the wheels. 1/8 inch is not a lot of clearance and you are wise to get the answer to your question before mounting the wheels and tires. I have found this Forum to be very responsive and helpful . Again Welcome.

Do a test fit with a front wheel and see how they work. I think the front brakes are larger than the rear.

Yes sir--just a moment ago was looking in the for sale section of the forum for wheels, and there were a couple of sets that would work. The upshot of that, of course, is that the wheels would definitely fit a JT! My other Jeep is a 2012 JK with steelies that are showing rust, and so the 17" alloys could go there (once I wear out the 16" Duratracs on them.) Thanks and all the best.

As promised, this afternoon got back to test fitting--this time tried the JK alloy wheels on the front. Not going to dispute that the front brakes are larger, but there seemed to be a hair more clearance for the wheel than the on the rear--maybe another 1/16 of an inch. They clear, but it's 1/8-3/16". I think I'll look around for wheels that specifically are targeting the JT. The JK's were freebies, but alas...still doable but.. Thanks everyone for your advice. All the best,

td

Howdy back to you. New to the forum world--don't know a thing about it except that it can be a fountain of JT knowledge. It took me a long time to find the button to make the first post (maybe I'm a dinosaur) but have already gotten some advice. Thanks for the welcome. Blessings...
