U connect without the subscription

I just want to be able to unlock and lock the doors and remote start with my phone without the other stuff and no subscription. Is there a thing out there that does this or am I stuck with u connect?

You need the sub. No way to use the factory stuff otherwise as it uses the truck's built in cellular modem. Might be some third party stuff you can buy.

You can use the FOB all you want. If you want to control it with your phone, you have to pay for access to the remote functions.
