Ive been pretty impressed with the maverick. What it offers vs the cost is wild and the interior room is fantastic. My only real hold up on getting one as a daily is the poor maintenance and longevity of fords. :-/

That really sucks for those with orders. I love both the Bronco and Maverick. I’d probably be sitting in a Bronco right now if I wasn’t laid off back in 2020. I cancelled my week 2 reservation shortly after that happened and put money elsewhere.

I think a lot of companies have realized a while ago that relying on other countries to manufacturer parts, though cheap and without heavy environmental regulations compared to the US, is simply not reliable. It was the thing to do when everything is calm and good. But any upset in another countries status has major implications. Boeing found out the hard way about this many years ago yet still used global supply.

but its all about money. Can you imagine the cost of a gladiator if everything was done stateside? Man it would be 200K easily.

I mean…with inflation being what it is we’ll see that price soon for a base model w/ 5in radio and manual windows

I’ve been looking at the Maverick XL as a commute vehicle and there are 16 in stock in my area.

The XL is coming in at $24k for my area with an 8” head unit, led lights and collision avoidance with the hybrid. Seems to be the std config for the ones on the lot. Definitely way over the first year initial price of ~$20k

Yeah that initial price was at like $19K

I don't need the big radio, LEDs, or collision avoidance, but good luck finding that unless you order

The XLs are between $24-26 around here. The ones i'm seeing at $24k are labeled as "fleet"

I haven’t seen any labeled as fleet - probably due to the std packaged options. The used prices are stupid crazy in my area…

All vehicles have issues. My anecdotal observation is that ford in particular has more issues and a harder time fixing them in my area. That observation had led me to hesitate spending money on a brand that cant seem to produce a decent vehicle off the line and then struggles to correct those issues at all levels. ?‍♂ better?

I can't imagine having a product line so desireable that people are willing to pay up to 25% over MSRP and NOT be able to deliver!

Being in the service industry, I'm used to not enough of me to go around, but this is next level!
