I've found a nice twill one near me for $500, but it's almost two years old. How do these hold up? Have there been any design changes/improvements in the past two years?

I'm leaning toward going new for the "limited lifetime warranty", but that price is a little hard to swallow. I may just jump on the used one and roll the dice with the durability.

I bought a twill one with a season's use on it in February of 2021, then used it all last summer. It still looks new. In many environments, 2 years old equates to 6-7 months of actual use...

i bought mine new directly from @Bestop a month and a half ago for my new Jeep Gladiator and my gosh i love it and can't believe i lived through 10 years of just my hard freedom tops on my old (and traded in) Wrangler! i was truly missing out!!!
anyway, i paid like 899 plus taxes (for the nicer twill version) and yes i even paid to have it installed because i am a wimp and just wanted it done for me...and done right haha! ?
no matter what you pay for it, in my opinion, the Bestop Sunrider is worth it!!!

Mine's like three years old now. It's on from mid-late April until late October. It's been through a few car washes over the years as well and still looks like new (okay, maybe some slight fading???).

They really hold up well if taken care of.

Just bought one for $799 directly from Bestop, but it was backordered for a couple weeks.

I love it!

I thought about ordering from Bestop but with the shipping and duty to Canada it would end up being more expensive. Nice looking rig btw!

Do you use the bestop cleaner and protectant to keep it looking good?

I watched Craigslist, this forum, and jlwrangler forum like a hawk for about 4 months. I eventually found a twill one about 40 miles away for $500. I didn't even try to negotiate.

Just went out to the Bestop site to check them out. The "Black Diamond" fabric version is $799.99, but the "Black Twill" is $150 more. Is the twill $150 better?
The Twill is much nicer than the black diamond. Same quality and material as the factory soft top. I bought the prox15 tonneau cover in twill to match my gladiator soft top. It's worth the extra money and warranty.

Mine's 3 years now and still the best mod I've done. Originally picked it up from Best Top for about $800 (sale at the time), and got the twill to match the factory tonneau cover. I take mine off every winter and store inside and clean and treat with Aerospace 303 fabric protector before putting it back on in the spring. No fading or discoloration so far and still very happy with it. Probably putting it back on this week now that the monsoon rains have stopped.

Nope. Just run through the occasional car wash. These things are pretty studly in how they hold up :)

anyone have their drivers side hinge pin rub against the door rail? mine seems to be shifted a little to the drivers side so much that it barely hits/hooks under that lip on the door rail.
