I purchased the PowerStop Z36 Extreme Truck and Tow Brake Rotor and Pad Kit (Front and Rear) at the beginning of the month from ExtremeTerrain. They just emailed me and told me they’re still out of stock and won’t be available until possibly the end of July.

I spoke with customer service and I can cancel the order or change it, I’d prefer to change it but wanted some advice first.

I have a 2020 max tow with 35s, I have to press the brake pedal about 95% of the travel to fully brake, that doesn’t seem normal to me. I haven’t taken the wheels off and looked at the pads, but it does have 60k miles so should be about that time anyway.

Guess my question is: should I hold out for the PowerStop to come back in stock or are there better options out there for the price?

Are they in stock at Northridge? From what I understand getting these have been an issue for distributors.

With regards to pedal travel, might be worth checking your brake fluid and bleeding the system of air. I would start there before spending $ on brake kits.

Sorry, we are out of stock too.

Just chatted with one of the sales crew, they said that Power Stop is having supply chain issues.

I have thought about doing that in addition to a new brake kit. I do tow with the truck and stock it feels very sketchy. But, maybe I'll do that while I await stock to come in.

An ABS bleed in not the same as a manual or power bleed or flush
By engaging the ABS during bleeding removes trapped air is the ABS system
It took me 6 mouths of trying different things including manual and power bleed and flush
It wasn't until I saw the video, Purchased a scanner that was able to do a ABS bleed that my low mushy brake pedal was fixed. It brought the brake pedal back to the day I pick it new from the dealer. I only had 8k miles on the jeep when this accursed. I now have 18k on the jeep and all is good
I cant tell you how air got in the system or what happened
I can only tell you it was fixed with an ABS bleed and refer you back to the video
