I’ve installed Diode Elite Series fog lights on my factory bumper that won’t fit the Pritchett Canyon bumper that I’ll be ordering soon as it does not come with fog light cut-outs. I was thinking of ordering a set of KC Flex Era 4’s to mount on top of the new bumper and using the factory fog light wiring and fog light switch to power the KC’s on. I’m learning as I build but is it even possible to do this?

Diode Elites:
Watts: Main Beam: 15 - Backlight: 0.3

Operating Voltage: 9-16V

Amp Draw: 13.2V - Main Beam: 1.2 - Backlight: 0.025

KC Flex Era’s:
Watts:
160W

Operating Voltage: 9V-36V

Amp Draw: 13.3A

Pulled the specs off their sites so I’m not sure if it helps or even makes sense.

Those Flex era 4s suck a lot of current, ten times more than those DD fogs, which are higher current than stock LED fogs. the fog light circuit won’t be able to support that.
You could either wire them up to separate switch/aux or could wire in a diode or relay so the fog light switch triggers the FE4s.

Check out KC's flex "combo" lights. They're essentially two lights in one. 1 circuit is wired to the factory fog light switch and the other goes to an aux switch. Factory fog switch will operate the lower draw fog and then the aux switch will kick on the higher draw off-road light.

I do have the factory auxiliary switch available which would be my go to but being that I’d completely get rid of my current fog lights, I was hoping to use the fog light wiring and switch. By chance, would you happen to know which Diode harness or relay would work for this set up?

This would be ideal! Considering I do have the factory auxiliary switches available and currently none in use. I always assumed they’d only connect to some sort or switch or relay I guess but I’m terrible with wiring, so time for me to look into KC’s combos. I appreciate it!

Sorry I have not used any relays so I’m not sure, but there are threads you can find with the search.
I have Diode Dynamics max fogs hooked up to OEM fog circuit and they work perfectly, substituting those for the flex era 4s and just mounting those on top of the bumper is an option. Those new KC combo fogs look cool too.
