Brought my new, white 23 Mojave in to the dealership yesterday for a glitch in either the 8 speed, throttle body or ecm. Had 400 miles on it and I knew something was definately wrong. When I bought it, I got employee pricing, it booked for 60k+ and I got it for 54k.Talked to a few guys I know at the dealership, I'm not sure what was going on, but they wanted my truck back really bad and every Gladiator on the lot was marked down 10k. They offered me 54k for my Mojave, and I left with a new red JTR and a new Stingray JT Sport S for the wife.

He probably didn't care - and got a heck of a better deal on the Rubicon.
If Rubicon fits his needs, his $$ thinking, and was equipped how he wanted.......... you could ask why my wife has a Rubicon that will only ever see non-pavement once or twice a year if that.

I almost did, they had a red one, had a bad wind whistle and seemed to be acting somewhat like my white one, it didn't shift near as smooth and consistantly as the Rubicon did. Then I started thinking about parts exchangability,(Mojave cowl pieces being different and front bash plate not accepting some standard bumpers), the heavy steel hood with air in vent vs Rubicon air out vents, more lift options, etc. And decided to go with the Rubicon. Then I got home and thought "You jackass, you gave up those Mojave heavy axles and that sweet Mojave ride." ?

You will miss that beautiful Mojave ride. Congrats on the new ones! ;)
I know I will, thanks Hoss. Still not sure if I did the right thing. The Mojo is a beautiful machine, if my white one hadn't been jacked up, I would have kept it forever. ?

In my opinion the Mojave shines on-pavement as a daily driver.
That it does, I would be so bold as to compare it to a Cadillac, but for men. ;)

There's a fix for that.

You have the same axles.
Mojave spec. axles are installed on Mojave, Recon, and Max Tow. They are the same width as Rubicon, but incorporate thicker tubes (10mm) and cast iron knuckles. They're the shit.

The thicker tube thing has been debunked years ago. The tube thickness on a Sport, or Overland is the same as a Rubicon or Max tow.
The ONLY difference between Rubicon, Max Tow and HA axles is the width. The tubes are the same as the others.
Max tow axle tubes are the same as Rubicon axle tubes.

It's been hashed about and found to be a screw-up in the marketing and journalists - and of course bloggers and automotive journalists never get anything wrong haha.
I even asked the service department about the differences and they said - same tubes.

In my opinion the Mojave shines on-pavement as a daily driver.
That's what my wife says about our Overland - three times "man, this thing sure rides nice" and talks how great it is on trips, rough pavement and so on.
After-all, it's supposed to be the luxury level for daily use (until the HA version of the Overland came out)

But it's a given any Mojave owner will say it's best at everything. To say otherwise is to admit to the possibility of being not the very best and no Jeep person would ever say that publicly. So, whatever.
