I've been wanting the versatility of a truck (for my dirt bike) for a while now and finally pulled the trigger. My local Jeep dealership had the perfect build on the lot (everything I wanted, nothing I didn't) and it was listed for $14k off MSRP. I sold my 2022 JLU Extreme Recon to CarMax, but not before taking off my 35"s and swapping them with the Gladiator. Also replaced the halogen taillights for LEDs. 2" AEV lift gets installed tomorrow. I could not be happier!!!!

Idk if you commute but I think you'll enjoy the ride of the gladiator better then the. Jlu. Wheelbase helps.

I commute a little, but not much. I average about 6k miles a year. So far I'm enjoying the ride a lot though! I did notice the longer wheelbase making things feel more stable, smooth and comfortable. The wins with this truck keep coming :)

Looks great & congrats on the find.
I've been looking around for a set of those same wheels you swapped out to.
Looks like you have spacers on there to move them out a bit?

Thanks! I actually don't have spacers on. I'm happy with how it sits (besides the lift I'm waiting on)

Congrats on the new JT! You got a killer deal! I was a bit worried about carrying my KTM 350XCF and Husky TE300 in the back with the short bed, but it ended up working great. Even my RAM short bed needed to drop the tailgate to haul two full size dirt bikes. All I miss is being able to use my https://readyramp.com "bed extender" / ramp as an actual bed extender with the JT. Maybe they will eventually make a JT specific one.

Or actually, now that the kids have their own trucks and ride without me mostly, I will probably get something like one of these : https://motojackrack.com. Even not lifted the Rubicon is a bit high to be loading bikes unless I ride em up, and I'm getting too old for that. LOL. Once lifted, it's only going to get worse.

But truth be told, I'm kinda starting to like the JT more than my bikes, but shhhhh..... don't want em to get jealous. LOL

Have fun with the new ride!!

Thank you for the kind words!
Yeah, I'd always use my brothers truck (he has a Ram 1500) when we'd ride, and like you said, the tailgate needs to drop on that too! That motorcycle carrier you sent a link for is exactly what I'd use with my Wrangler. It's not bad, but I love having the truck bed more.

Nice! Let us know how tricky it is to balance loading bikes over your head after you've got the lift and 35's going!! :) :). I know I'm still very anxious about putting full weight on the tailgate. Being aluminum, it feels like it's going to collapse compared to the RAM I gave my son.... Its holding up though.

Haha, right? I'm sure I'll need to be careful and move slowly lol. I'll definitely have to position the truck strategically (perpendicular to curb) with my rear wheels in the gutter to try and get my tailgate as low as possible to the driveway. My brother is lucky, his Ram 1500 has adjustable air suspension and he can lower his truck with the push of a button. A luxury us JT drivers don't have lol.

For a precision sized rider like me
riding a 600 pound V-max up
and rolling back down a ramp
was terrifying.
My ramps for my '95 Nissan Hardbody.

Can't imagine doing it
on a lifted Gladiator on 35s.
