Wondering if I can just tap into the fog lights for power and ground? I don't use the fog lights. I bought a switch to run into the cab if I need to. I don't have the aux switches yet

You would probably need to use a relay when attaching other lights to the fog light wiring. That is one of the circuits monitored by the computer, and it shuts it off if the draw deviates too far from what it expects to see.

I would not run anything extra off the original light system, it is super picky. I would just run new wire, maybe get aux switch panel now? Doing it now will make anything extra you add simple.
