Gladiators Snow Wheeling - Post Your Pics!

Battled some real dry snow this weekend, temps around -6F but all in all a great time, 7 rigs and the gladiator managed to be the only one that didnt get stuck despite others on 40s. 3psi was the magic number.

Not so much playing in the but coming to the rescue in the snow. We live about 30 miles southeast of Denver on rural property still with dirt roads, no street lights. Mostly horse properties. I just have horse power. We have been encountering 4 days of snow and way below zero weather. This kid took a turn a little too fast with his Mom’s BMW and slid sideways off the road stopping less than a foot from the split rail fence you see in the pics. I got a call from my neighbor who’s land the car ended up in to see I could help out. He asked if ”Mater” (first pic) was running and it is but there was no way it was going to start without preheating at 15 below zero. So I volunteered the Glad machine with 10,000 lb X-Bul winch to help out. The kids dad hooked up chains to the front of the car, I backed up across the road and into the snow bank to help out wit anchoring the truck. As you can see the road was covered with packed snow. Started pulling and the car’s rear end slid towards the fence so we put a nylon strap through the roadside rear wheel and hooked it to a truck to keep the car from hitting the fence. Anyways after about 4 repositions the car was out, no damage and the crowd went home after freezing our asses off. Winch did great single line pull. Never really labored.

It is a cool place if you take the crowds and traffic away. We went from Rhododendron around the north side to Parkdale. Went home through hood river and i84. It took all day with a lunch stop but it was nice with a lot of snow.

We have snow and ice all across the metro area now. It's a mess for sure, I prefer snow like my in laws. We will come visit you when we want not the other way around lmao...

Lolo pass Mt.Hood Oregon

Nice.
I need to get up there and check that area out some more.
Spent lots of time at or around Lost Lake, but haven't ever made it up Lolo Pass.

Same area as lost lake just a little higher in the mountain. There are forest service road connecting all of them.
