Put a $20 Hazard Frought cube light under the rear bumper wired to the reverse light circuit of a 7-pin trailer pig tail. Super easy and quick and adds a ton of light for backing up on dark foggy nights. Solves a lot of the glare issue we have with the backup camera by boosting the brightness of the scene above the irritating plate illuminators.

As a bonus, it makes the truck far more conspicuous backing up in a parking lot. Kind of like those forklift warning projectors.

If it gets stolen, I'm only out $35 (light plus trailer plug). It's held up for a year so far.
