Looking for local knowledge on access and reviews on this area. Wife and I are planning a trip out to the area and Redington Pass keeps popping up. Will be pulling a small/mid size camper with decent clearance.

Thanks!

As @azmojave said, Reddington Pass Road is a big well maintained Forest Service Road and is easy access even with a trailer.

A few miles up the road the Arizona National Scenic Trail (an 800 mile backpacking trail from Mexico to Utah) has one of it's trailheads and is neat to hang out at and talk to all the backpackers as they come through or camp for the night. If you are a trail angel you can hook them up with water coffee, etc.

There are off road trails all over, most notably on the south side of Reddington Pass Road are a series of trails that will take you to Chiva Falls:

and not far from Chiva Falls is an area called Seven Falls, literally a series of seven waterfalls that drop down onto each other. The whole area is nice as long as it hasn't been raining, again as azmojave said, it gets muddy as heck and super slippery. The shoulder seasons can be tricky as the weather changes quickly. This is Seven Falls: we set up camp one night...beautiful:

And woke up like this the next morning:

It was miserable getting back out because of the mud...

Definitely worth the trip, been there 3 or 4 times myself.

Any ideas on how the roads are for the next week?
We have been getting hit with all the rain that has been coming in off these atmospheric rivers over the last week, likely the same as you have. Next week is supposed to be back to nice and sunny, so barring any change in the forecast, it should be good.

Yeah, tons of trails. I see lots of bikers on the Reddington Pass Road when I’ve been up there. Only occasionally seen bikers on the trails but there’s no reason you couldn’t go out to places like Chiva Falls and Seven Falls with the bikes.
