Going from slandered red shocks to the Fox 2.0/jeep shocks there is a big difference in the ride
Its one of the first things I did on both my Willys and Rubicon

Are these the infamous Fox shocks everyone is ragging on? Bc I checked in the garage and yep, these are what I gave a case of two-hearts ale for, along with springs.

Those are the ones. I have a set I bought from another member. They have been sitting on a shelf for years. Everyone was raving about how great they are and were after the take-offs to go on their stock height trucks. Now, you can't hardly give them away and everyone is complaining about what crap they are. I wonder if my four year old set is better than what's still available now. I was just about to install them on my Overland, but ended up trading it for a High Altitude.

I also have a complete Max Tow suspension set that I got for free. I just had to drive and pick it up. I was going to install the springs on the Overland because of all the weight I carry in the back.

What is the max tow susp from? I’ll have to look out for those take-offs.

I actually enjoy being the “youngest brother” JTS and getting those higher model “hand-me downs”.

It's from a Sport that was factory equipped with the MaxTow package. It includes progressive springs and wide axles and has the highest towing capacity available. Another forum member installed a lift kit and gave me everything he took off (springs, shocks, control arms, sway bar, etc.).

the only difference would be the springs and shocks - and not sure on the shocks if they are even different.

I just wanted the springs, but took everything he offered. I'm going to put them on my new HA. I've got some spring cleaning to do before I put the cap back on and load all the weight back in it. The cargo capacity on this one is only 900 and something. The Overland was 1032. But, I have the wide axles and shiny black 20" wheels. ?

That's how I got spare parts for mine - wanted springs, but you buy "suspension take-offs". They've put in a lift of some sort, replace a bunch of parts, there are links and LCAs all over the place. But I run the longer MOPAR lift kit lower control arms "just because".

One of these days I need to clean house - set of Rubicon springs, rear max tow springs, that sort of thing.
