Dear JT fellas,
First of all Happy 4TH to everybody!
Just got my Harbor Freight (Apex Badland 12K) the other day and I'm now shopping for a new bumper to accommodate the winch
My gladiator Rubicon came with the stupid useless plastic bumper but I had such a good deal on that vehicle that I didn't mind to negotiate for a different one with steel..
My cross reticle is aiming @ the Rugged Ridge Arcus (stubby / light and close to OEM look which i Like …) and if I'm not mistaken I saw some of you went with the same choice

Question is can I still use my fog lamps with the Arcus bumper ?
Can I use the winch plate that comes with RR ARCUS to get the Apex installed?
Is there anything else I will need to purchase to fit this combination on my rig?
Can I keep my stock front protection plate underneath the Arcus once installed?
Is there going to be an easy installation ...or a crazy one ? for a guy like me with average mechanical knowledge ?
As always thanks for suggestions !

Not sure if you're aware, but yesterday was 4th of July, which is a pretty big celebration day in the old US of A. might need to give another day or two for responses as I'm sure people were busy with family/friends/festivities last night.

I used a smittybuilt winch, but same bumper.

Yes your fog lights will work with it. Parts are included for both the LED and halogen options. Strongly recomend dropping LED bulbs in there while you have it appart though.

This should be all you need when you buy this and the winch unless you go for something non-standard

Your skid plate will work. It was one of the main reasons I went with this bumper. So many do not support it.

Install isn't bad at all on this, except for the final step. You somehow need to hold like 10 things at once and line them all up to get it together. It took 3 people and a floorjack to get mine on.

Yes, you can use your fog lights. I use the Smittybilt 12K winch.

If you end up not liking the install of the Arcus, I got the Rugged Ridge Full Width Spartan on mine and it has plenty of room for the Badlands winch and it's a easier install from what I've saw or read. Not knocking the Arcus at all but I had my bumper on my jeep in less than a hour and that included removing the stock bumper.

After you check out Eagle's Smitty installation, you'll want the Arcus, but you'll also want to return your Harbor Freight winch and do what he did. He'll even make you the parts you need ;)

Lol. Might be a little hard with descriptions like "random 6 dollar piece of metal from home depot". I don't even know what kind of metal it is. Lets just say ADHD got the better of me during that install.

I did this install yesterday...

Only bummer is I think i want to add a light mount that mounts to the hawse fairlead... I can't get to the bolts without taking the bumper cover off which basically is half of the install...

I moved the power cable and added a grommet

That is the bear with this bumper, lining up the four holes on either side alone kinda sucks. I don't have the bull bar, I'm pretty sure that I'll use those holes when I buy some more lighting, but am worried I'll have to do the same.

Agency 6 makes a hawse fairlead which is threaded on top for lights, etc. I run the fairlead bolts from the outside in, with the nuts inside the bumper near the winch. I can use a magnet on a stick to keep the nut from falling when I take out the bolts to replace the fairlead.
