JK Gear&Gadgets did a review on his channel. They seem pretty solid. I have to decide how I want to wire them up, their harness or to a voswitch. Unfortunately I have no wiring experience. Been picking through the forum and Youtube.

I love my jl400. I added it when I had 5 things and four aux switches. I still have five things, but now 8 total switches. I love the jl400 so much that I put three on it, and left only two on the aux switches. It did wonders for my wiring cleanup under the hood as well. The way the bracket covers the void next to the battery creates a little hidden wire cave.

I forgot your first question. If you bought the harness separately, I’d return it if it were me. All the harnesses that have come with lights or accessories I have, I cut and went directly to switches. I didn’t want to add non-factory-looking switches to the interior.

The flip side is that the 800 lets you change labels to match your accessories. The 400 is fixed, so you just need to know what you hooked up to what.

3 wire,

I’m assuming that’s per light? That’s pretty simple. Is your intention to just hook those three things up to separate switches? If so, you can definitely return the harness.

Installed a set of Oracle Oculus Bi-LED lights this afternoon. Anxiously awaiting sunset this evening so I can properly aim them and do a road test. Original plan was to stick with the halogens, so the bulb heat would help with melting snow build up. But a recent drive through lake effect snow near Cleveland determined that was just wishful thinking. Might as well enjoy quality light the rest of the year if the halogens are going to freeze up anyway.
