2020 Gladiator Rubicon
Hello,
You can call me Miki. I am new to the Gladiator world, though not new to the Jeep world. I had an '05 Wrangler Rubicon Sahara edition from '05-'09, which I loved but started commuting and traded ole Dirt Buggy for the Momzduh (2010 MazdaSpeed3) with better gas mileage. I wanted to get another Jeep within a year or 2, but here it is, 14 years later when I finally get another Jeep. I wanted the off road capabilities, the truck bed, and the convertible top, so the Gladiator was the way to go, plus I needed the towing capacity, which Wranglers don't have quite as much, even with the Max tow package.
I am looking forward to going off road soon, just don't know where to go and what to do once I get there.. I took the Dirt Buggy through the mud on some (shhhhhh!) illegal "trails" around my hometown, and a friend had a field full of weeds he used to let me tear up for him, but that's all.
So, I finally I got a Gladiator. She's a 2020 Rubicon stock, 33" tires, and I've named her Trixee. I was researching Roman Gladiator history looking for a name, when I found there were females called Gladiatrix. (hence the name Trixee). ;)

Does anyone know where there are some easier/beginner trails in the mid cal/nor cal area, say within 2 hours of San Fran? I live fairly close to Carnegie SVRA park, and I looked up Prairie City SVRA, which is 1 1/2-2 hours away for me. Any suggestions? I looked at the website for Carnegie, but it looks like their trails are only for motocross. They do have a "play area" for off road vehicles which I would like to go try, and hopefully not get myself into trouble.

I am also looking forward to learning how to work on my Trixee, I know how to change brake pads, and take rotors off to have them turned, but that's about it.

I hope to hear from y'all, nice to "meet" you.
Ps, any other ladies here?

Welcome to the forum. :like:

Just give us your credit cards. As we will max them out for you on what mods we thing you need based on your needs and wants. The only thing we won't buy for you is an "Angry Grill". That's another subject.

@MSFTMatt , there's a ride scheduled at Hollister Hills with one of the organizations that teach beginners as well as experienced, if I can get the money together in time I really want to go!!:jk:

@Rusty PW , I bet y'all really can do some amazing upgrades!! I would love to upgrade, but.... there's a reason I allow myself only 1 credit card with a very low limit. :surprised::giggle:

I limit my mods per year. Last year was lift. This year it's rims. Next year, I haven't decided yet.

What have you been thinking about?
A light bar or other additional lights? Molly panels to hold gear? Roof rack? Do you have a winch? I would like to get a winch eventually, with a grill guard bumper.

Drive shafts, Ohlin shocks, winch and bumper. Don't know which yet.

Not that my vote or opinion count for anything, if it did I would vote winch. That's one of the first things I'd like to do with mine... eventually.
