Add me to the Bright White JT group - this is our 3rd Jeep, second JT (first was a JL Sahara, second was a Snazzberry Mojave) had always wanted a Diesel Rubicon, since this was the last year of the diesel (2023) we found a way to make it work. Love it so far ! And happy to be a member of the forum… long time lurker…

That is a lot of white going on there.

What is the story of it being two model years left over?

Well.... I was the first to test-drive my JTO at my local dealership in October '22, but I had the FCA lifetime warranty on my '16 JKUR. It only had 40k miles on it and I wasn't ready to spend $60k to indulge myself for the truck. Fast forward to March of '24 and the JT was still on the lot with a $14k price reduction from sticker. They offered me $25,500 trade for my JKU. I decided I couldn't pass it up. It sat on the dealership's lot for 611 days until I bought it.

Apparently 'round these parts the Mojave and Rubicon are more popular with the younger buyers and a loaded up Overland was either too expensive, or just not "manly" enough to suit them. The small dealership sold a dozen other Gladiators during the time this one sat on the lot. Fortunately, as an old man, the luxo-features and nice ride of the Overland suit me just fine. My heavy duty 4 wheelin' days are behind me. This is a daily driver, camper and boat hauler... with an occasional off-road or dirt road excursion.

Sounds like a decent deal.

Only advice I would give is be wary of the batteries both main and aux with electrical issues. They do not like sitting for long lengths of time.

The aux battery was DOA when I bought the truck. The dealer replaced it. So far the main starter battery seems to be holding up fine. I probably need to replace the windshield wipers too. Small issues though. I like the '22 much better than the '24s, and of course there is no '24 Overland anyway. The starter battery on my '16 JKU was factory when I traded it in, eight years old.

First real wheeling trip in the books. Bumper and winch are one, front diff cover, front lunchbox locker, and rear diff skid are in the mail. Loving it so far!

What front lunchbox locker? I’m interested in something I don’t have to pull the current ring and pinion apart
