Tail lights not working

Flashers work, turn signals work. When I turn on the headlights only the out ring lights up on the tail lights. Cannot find a fuse anywhere. Any ideas?

I believe that's how they're supposed to work.

Sounds normal. Which lights were you expecting to turn on that aren't?

Guys the brake lights work but tail lights only the outer ring and side light up. The main led set only light up on blinkers and brake. I hooked up my motorhome and everything works fine. I also plugged my boat into the 7 way and all is good there. So I know connecting motor home the led Assy is good. I pulled and tested all the tow fuses and central body controller fuses. I had this to the dealer last month (5days) to fix drivers side blind spot that would come on and stay on. They replaced the blind spot sensor in the right tail light and that fixed it. I have no idea how long the tail lights have been out. I got a feeling the central body control has an issue. Look at your tail lights the leds all light and get brighter when brakes come on mine do not.

Might want to go back and explain the problem to them as they might have broken something that previously worked.

Reading this again, if the main brake LEDs are coming on dim when the trailers are connected, but go out when disconnected, then you’ve got a back feed issue with the trailer harness/connector.

Well now I feel like a fool. Yes that outer ring is all that lights on my tail light. Etrailer in ST Louis did the motorhome brakes and lights no charge, just tow master parts paid for. Tow master has a diode wiring kit and it is hooked up as per the Manuel. Connected to motorhome all the leds lite on headlights or brighter for brake blinkers. I just assumed the Jeep alone should have been the same. Well this was a wasted troubleshooting day.

To add it looks way better and noticeable when the Motorhome is powering the taillights thru tow master 6 pin diode wiring harness. If it’s a feed back issue some how it’s been like that since May. I always drive Motorhome with lights on and just did a 3 1/2 month trip to Alaska so all the leds were powered.

@Rocksride I run a shop and although slightly annoying, I like repairs like that.
After 1,000 failed attempts at a lightbulb and finally being successful Edison was asked if he was disappointed in all those attempts. He responded with ‘ they were not failures, I be learned 1,000 ways not to make a lightbulb’.
(There are numerous variations of this story)
