Rear light LED bulb with in-line resistor question

Hey All,

2022 jeep glad willy... I just replaced my halogen rear light bulbs over to an LED bulb. Now I am getting a dash warning that my rear blinkers are out. Doesn't happen all the time but, most of the time at night. I read that I need a in-line resistor to stop that from happening but, I am not sure which one or if there is a plug and play one or I would have to do some soldering.

Can anyone that has converted over to an LED bulb pass over a link to the in-line resistor they used and a little how to? worst case I will just put back in the halo's.. .

In Line resistor wasn't necessary for me, I used Jscan and updated the system to LED bulbs. You have to do each light set, headlights, tail lights, turn signals and back ups. I have Oracle in all these locations.. Oracle did send out resistors for their tail lights BUT the change with the Jscan solved the flickering ..

Typically the company you bought the lights from has resister kits. If you go that route then they will have to be spliced into the existing wiring. Example below.

Thanks!! I just ordered all the pieces for ODC Jscan app. Not sure why I didnt get it sooner. I was going to go to the dealer but, for the price to just flip a byte.. it will be easier and cheaper for me to do it. Thanks again.

When I upgraded my halogen bulbs last year I went with mostly Oracle replacements and I bought the resister seen here https://www.oraclelights.com/products/oracle-led-load-equalizer-50w-6ohm?variant=41309233294 Mine have been installed about a year and a half now with no issues

Get tazer or alfaobd and be done with it. Resistors get hot and can burn out causing issues.

Congrats on your new gladiator ! After installing and scanning, I didn't need to use a resistor with my LED bulbs .

Once you set the truck to LED for the turn signals you shouldn't need the resistors.
