It also could be that you had trouble and so did a few other people, and you went to a forum to discuss it were nobody post mine started today and ran perfectly. That has been my experience so far. 18k nothing happened no warning lights zero issues. Go to the issues recalled part and you see lots of post there sure. But people only post there if they have problems and while it might make you feel better that other people are sharing you misery, I would say that is the exception not the rule.

My Mojave lost a cam at 64K, Now at 72K P0171. Meanwhile my 180K 2002 4.7 GC needs nothing. It has had zero failures or breakdowns. That shows what kind of quality jeep engineers and workers produce given a chance.
Tevares focus on "efficiency" is reflected in product quality. I think his idea of efficiency was how to get more money in his pockets regardless of the consequences.
Chrysler has been down this road before, back in the early 80s.
Engineers and workers can only do so much to compensate for CEO greed opps, I mean effeciency.

" Chrysler has been down this road before, back in the early 80s." LOL, there is a constant tension in large corporations between bean counters, and engineers and other "cost" or "profit" centers.

You know you are in trouble when the bean counters gain the upper hand. Quality goes and eventually so do sales. And in reality, bad judgement and bias by a CEO influenced by the bean counters appealing to his bias (Eurocentric) laid the foundation for the failures. They took the main profit engines of the company Jeep, Ram and turned them into money machines for subsidizing the European brands that were/are failing.

They kept milking the cash cows until they didn't have anything left as in they priced Rams and Jeeps out of the reach of their core customers and starved them for ideas and R & D. AND THEN when Taveres tried to blame the cow(s) he finally crossed the lines and they whacked him and brought back the people who had previously made things work.

But if you harmed the cow(s) too much it may not be able to recover. I sure hope Taveres didn't do that. But this very same dynamic has occurred with every single vehicle manufacturer over the decades. So there is hope, lots of it.
