Has anyone experienced the recall on the 2023’s equipped with a 3.5” Instrument Panel Cluster?
They say in the recall that “The estimated repair time is 2 days” and goes on to say ask your deal for alternate transportation options.
If so, how long did they have your vehicle and did the dealership help out with other transportation?
My local dealership is telling me they have to keep it for 2 days to test it and if it fails, they have to keep it until the part comes in and they have no idea when that will be, maybe 1 week, 2 weeks! for the first 2 days I have to pay for the rental and if it fails then they will cover the time after the first 2 days.

Thanks

Recall was completed on my 2023 a few weeks ago. Dropped off Monday completed by Thursday. Did not request a loaner. They did test the unit and indicted it failed the test. Gladiator did not move awaiting the replacement cluster.

Do you know if they have to tear the dash apart? I read somewhere that it can be done by removing a speaker?

I have a 2023 Glad Freedom package. It has the I beleave 3.5 cluster. I have had the truck for 1 year, 7 k miles on it. I have not had any problems with the cluster yet. How do you tell if it's bad? The Jeep owners dash shows no recalls on my truck. Do they send you a letter? or will it show up on the Jeep owners dash? Thanks. I just checked the Jeep recall web, it says no recalls on my Glad. I wonder how accurate they are?

From what I have found out it is on the Sport, Sport S and Willys. I received a notice in the mail. Here is a number you can call 1-800-853-1403 recall 30B

They have to take the dash apart. Really is not that big of a job to get access to the cluster. Anybody that has done it once, can do it again in about 20-25 minutes.

Edit: 2024+ is bit more involved but not relevant here.
