Hi everyone,
I just installed a Warn solenoid so that I can control my winch power from aux 4. Upon finishing my install, I noticed that my vehicle said auto start stop disabled, and that the vehicle will shut off soon.
Voltage on the battery within the dash says 10 volts and dropping. The actual main battery is showing 12.6 volts.
Itās almost like my vehicle isnāt running off the alternator at all.
Any suggestions? I have a 2024 and am trying to figure out how to disconnect the aux battery but it seems like my cables are different than the pictures I'm seeing on the forum.
Is it possible that I blew a fuse? I didn't have any issues with start stop or this voltage problem prior to this install today.
UPDATE: Car starts, and engine sounds like it is misfiring and it revved up to a higher RPM on it's own, so I shut it off right away. I think this is probably related to the low voltage... I hope I didn't kill my Jeep (maybe I didn't disconnect something properly when installing the solenoid and I blew the Z Case Fuse Array?). Going to have it towed to the dealer in the morning unless I find a solution tonight.
UPDATE #2: I tested voltage with a multimeter on fuse n2 and see a little over 12 volts. N5, N6 show a little over 12 volts. N3 and N1 show 7.1ish volts. I think those fuses (n3 and n1) are blown?
UPDATE #3: FYI for anyone reading this - make sure that you disconnect your main and aux batteries fully otherwise what happened to me may happen to you. I had to swap my fuse array as N3 was blown. All is well now after swapping in 68368854AA that I bought from my dealer (I have the tow package, so that part works for my Gladiator).
UPDATE #4: I'm unsure if there's lasting damage from when fuse N3 blew. I'm having a couple of electrical gremlins - issue with Start Stop showing as not ready, potential burnt cable? - not sure if it's normal to have an amber/yellow substance on the terminals for some of the cables. I'm hoping this is safe and normal.
