By the end of the trip, you'll have some scrapes on those skids but they should serve you well? Your rig looks like it's good to run up to 6-7 rated trails in Moab. You COULD get away with 8 rated trails but since you're driving it out/back, I'd use some discretion. Obviously, your rig, your vacation and maybe your only time out here, do what works for you.

Don't bag on some of the "lesser" trails. There's some pretty cool stuff that can be reached on very well maintained roads. To me, a sunset or sunrise at Deadhorse Point is worth the effort. That's a paved road. It's straight across from Chicken Corners. For whatever reason, I like being on both sides of the river in the same day. You won't hit your skids that day (and likely wouldn't even need 4x4 but I like it on Chicken Corners just for the engine braking aspect on Chicken Corners---I think, it's been a few years since I've been on that trail)

It’s going to be night and day. I can’t wait for you to feel those 5.13’s crawling.
I know! I cant wait to test out how much stretch I can get this thing to do. Should be able to make WAY better contact when tucking one side or the other.

Just like with my Tacoma, I got the skids to protect and be hit. Not that I plan to bounce and bash on rocks violently, but I dont have the expectation of not scraping, dragging, or rubbing anything while I am out there. I fully expect to need to replace the rear bumper when I come back.

Poison spider is one of my all time favorites. Not horribly technical, but you’ll do amazing on it. It’s the trail that started this for me. I did it on a whim with my wife and two small kids in the bone stock JTR on factory falkens, and way to much air pressure. Beginner mistakes. But it made it up all the hard stuff without more than factory skid scrapings. With your new setup you’ll have no problems on that, hells revenge, fins, metal masher except for widow maker (I won’t go near this other than to look at it and laugh), steel bender except for the dragon tail (that’s a thing), elephant hill, top of the world, etc. there’s so many more. I don’t know your experience, so either ignore me because you’re planning on full send, or just stay in your comfort zone, but your rig can handle SO MUCH out there, with relative ease. The ones I listed have little to no risk of body damage at all. That’s assuming you ignore some more extreme optional obstacles on some of them. But every trail I listed I’ve done with friends in stock gladiators with no lockers. Zero damage to anyone’s rig. With your lift, skids, and lockers, you’ll dominate.

All of the bumpers and rocker protection on my JT gets used on Moab trails in various places/methods. Sometimes its required, sometimes its just because I missed a line by an inch or two.

If I happen to get down there while you're there, I'll have to look you up.

These pics are from a January trip to Sand Hollow but you can see what my poor JT gets put through.

Your bumper will be fine. Cosmetic scratches worst case scenario, as long as you run a hitch skid.

@Shibbyjeep What a small world and coincidence?! We are headed to Moab at the same time from the west coast and spend several weeks a year in the Greenville area. I spoke with Cory at GO and got the 411. Look forward to meeting new and possibly familiar faces. Get those miles in quick on the new gears. 😜
