I thought there was only one way
to put on a pullover shirt.

Then I saw a TV commercial for a new shirt
and the model used a different technique.

After some Googling,
I determined that there are actually three ways.

Thank you for playing.

Toss it in the air, arms up, it comes down over both arms and head at the same time.

Back to the t-shirt thing……

For you guys & gals who don’t do any of your laundry……(someone else does it for you). When you take your t-shirts off, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure the t-shirts are right side out…….before throwing them in the laundry basket. 😉

Why?

AI Overview

You should
wash t-shirts inside out to preserve their color, protect any graphics or embellishments, and prevent pilling. The inner fabric collects most of the dirt and sweat, and turning the shirt inside out ensures the detergent works directly on these areas for better cleaning. This simple step can significantly extend the life of your t-shirts.
Benefits of Washing Inside Out

  • Protects Graphics and Embellishments: The friction of washing can cause printed logos and designs to crack, fade, or peel over time. Washing inside out keeps these details on the inside, shielding them from wear and tear.
  • Preserves Color: Repeated washing causes a slight abrasion on the outer fibers, leading to dullness and fading, especially for dark or brightly colored items. Turning them inside out protects the exterior finish from this friction, helping colors stay vibrant.
  • Prevents Pilling: The balls of fiber that form on fabric surfaces (pilling) will accumulate on the inside of the garment instead of the outside.
  • Reduces Wear and Tear: By shifting the friction and wear to the less visible inner surface of the garment, the overall appearance of the t-shirt is maintained.
  • Enhances Cleaning: Sweat, deodorant, and other daily grime typically build up on the inside of a shirt. Washing inside out allows the detergent to work more effectively on these problem areas.
When to Consider the Outside

  • Heavily Soiled Exterior: If a t-shirt has an especially dirty exterior, like a sports uniform, you may want to wash it right side out to give the dirty areas direct attention.
  • Tough Exterior Stains: For stubborn stains on the outside of a garment, leaving it right-side out allows the detergent and wash action to work directly on the stain.

Yup. Especially those with graphics - they last longer.

I don't even know. Now I need to go put on a shirt to see how I do it... but thinking about it might throw me off.

Did you copy that from the internet?? Or are you actually the person who does the laundry in your household??

Dude…. We’re talking about a T-shirt…….. There isn’t any T-shirt on the planet that I’d give that many shits about. If it were one of my husbands work shirts - YES - I put more care into it.

Yes and yes.

Using an AI search tool,
I did copy it from the Internet
and I do my own laundry;
which is probably the reason why
we have been married for 56 years.

But I could be wrong. I often am.

Why does it matter to the person doing the laundry?

Do you have any t-shirts from races, or other events, with some really nice graphics on them?
Maybe concert t-shirts from times long ago, a favorite band where half the members are dead?
Perhaps some other event, a trip or something?
Around here - t-shirts are a common shirt - you wear them everywhere. All colors, different styles and cuts, different neck-lines. You don't want them all pilled up.

Almost everyone in this pic (this is not half of the whole picture) was in a t-shirt. Some were indicative of their military service, maybe some division or group, others had other meaning.

Congratulations! Well done.
I don't do my own laundry, however, I am responsible for putting things back or away when she brings the laundry up and lays it out on the bed.
