RPM makes awesome stuff and they are doing very innovative things. If I was rebuilding my JKU, I would be running their long arm system.

It seems like their lift kits aren’t being talked about much (at least here) and I’m kind of surprised. I called and chatted with RPM for a while. He told me they use RK coil springs in their lift kits. Funny because I was considering going RK for the lift as well. I just really liked the RPM stuff after seeing what they’re making.

I blame @nbennettksu for sending me down this path. Blame might be a strong word. Maybe I should thank him? My wallet won’t agree with that.

I’m still considering going RK mid arm kit, but I really like the RPM stuff. That 3 link long arm front is sweet. I could install it myself since it doesn’t require any welding. When I see RPM products my brain just goes *Ooooo shiny*

I have RK stuff. But I went with their durometer joints because I don’t want a lot of maintenance on my Gladiator. It’s a daily driver. I generally prefer Johnny joints over the RK serviceable joint.

either way you won’t go wrong.

Been talking with another Gladiator owner who ran two RK kits so far, the 3” short arm and now the 4.5” short arm, both with the rubber based joints and triangulated 4 link rear (I can’t do the triangulated 4 link because mine is diesel). His Jeep definitely isn’t a pavement princess. He had great things to say about the maintenance free rubber joints and is really happy with them after 80k miles.

I’m a little torn about whether to go RK short arm with “adventure joints”(maintenance free rubber based joints) or going with the RPM hybrid kit, 3 link long arm front and short arm rear with Johnny Joints all around. I don’t mind greasing them every 6 months or so. I do plan to daily drive my Jeep and it’ll be on 40s. The tires are already sitting in the garage right now. Going to pair my lift with some Fox 2.5 adjustables if I don’t settle for something more affordable.

How about the best of both worlds? RPM 3 link front. then do the RK 4 link uppers and the RPM lower rear controls arms.

Not sure I follow what you mean. I can’t do the triangulated 4 link rear because mine is diesel. There are things in the way like the DEF tank.
