Blind spot warning system continues to fail and later recover?

The Blind spot warning system will shut off at times. I can restart and it will recover. Then, it will shut off again?
Good battery charge. No dirt or grime to see. What's the deal?

Any chance you've gotten mud up inside the taillight housings?

Might try using a scanner to see if any associated fault codes are kicking out.
