I bought my Gladi when my ex stuck me with her non-power, base model sport 23 Wrangler. The whole 14k off was in effect in January and I needed to dump 2 loans for 1. Divorce sucks until it doesn't I guess.
I kinda jumped into a good deal without really shopping the lot or even around. I think I would have gone x trim-wise if I had, but I don't know if the deal woulda been in line. Yadda yadda yadda.
I got a Mopar steel front and back bumpers with bed sliders and wanna finish off with color match fenders in Firecracker red.
My question is: I'm told that my black textured fenders can be painted. I'm almost ready to go pick up a set of front and a set of back from Cali. I live in Vegas. I'm no paint expert, but I do have friends that paint for a living. I've been told by more than one person that I can just refinish my black plastic and paint them. I can't see painting my black ones and ending up looking like the color match ones I see from the factory. Am I wrong? I'm gunna hafta paint the fronts from Cali at least as they are black so if I can just sand and paint mine my life would be way easier and my wallet grateful.
Any advice is appreciated
