yeah I have auto in there, but I never use it as I dont want it always blasting full speed.
I don't think these trucks are well suited to auto climate control. Poor insulation and small cabin space.

I could be wrong.

Auto climate seems to work a little smoother in my buddies GMC Denali. Bigger cabin, better insulated.

It doesn’t do that. I can’t even feel mine coming out of the vents unless it’s really hot or really cold, but it’s smart enough not to blast hot air on your when it’s hot or vice versa. It’s a great system if you let it work. I leave mine in auto 100% of the time and I’m always comfortable. 68 in winter and 72 in summer. Unless it’s 95+ and I’m stuck in traffic and the heat is radiating off the asphalt. I don’t have hard top insulation. I’ll put it on low then, but I don’t think it actually helps. It’s me being mad about how hot it is.

So does leaving it on auto help the rear vents to blow more heat when cold (or blow more at ALL -- the power of the rear vents is minimal).

No idea. I don’t take it off auto. The ac works fine through them though. The heat comes out through the vents in the floor.

I miss my 2011 Wrangler that thing could roast a brisket in the winter. Very mixed feelings on both my 2020 and 2025 Gladiator. Auto works fine on longer trips at maintaining the temps, around town is where i leave it on manual. I am not a fan of auto heat in the winter at all, blows cold way before the engine is ready, I don't remember with my 2020.

Yeah I need the heat to come out of the rear vents with some sort of reliability and force -- it's for my dog in the back, and when it's like 5 degrees out -- it takes quite a while for the interior to warm up.

I love dogs, mine is spoiled, but I wouldn’t sweat it. My dog is never cold in the back seat. Maybe it’s more of a problem with football sized dogs.
