I haven’t removed the backhoe yet so I can’t say how tippy she is. Actually now that I think of it, when I was excavating for my patio. with the front bucket and was traversing to the woods it was definitely a lot of weight on the front end. If I didn’t have the backhoe on it would have been tippy for sure.

I know my neighbor who has a 1025r had to put a ballast box on his cause it was too front heavy. He doesnt have a backhoe and just runs a mower and front mount snowblower and bucket obviously.
I do a lot of moving things around with bucket or forks on the off camber yard. Way safer with the weights. I notice the improvement a ton with the 72” plow blade. Not tippy at all now. One of my kids moving a bunch of old landscape timbers, or old timer fence crap. Should be able to see the weights. But the other pic is after I installed them in the garage.

It’s possible to trim but they’re eucalyptus. I have a reason to get rid of the tiki torches now. Those trees in a wild fire prone area are a disaster waiting to happen.
I’ve got some fire prevention mediation to do as well. Need to cut a few dead pines and stack for firewood.

Ah , that makes sense. Solves two issues then by getting rid of them. Wildfire mitigation didn’t even cross my mind as thats not a concern out here on the East coast.

Yeah I have a bunch of pine down already. Need to turn it into mulch, but need the new gas tube on the chipper first.
Eucalyptus won’t dry for at least a year so that’ll be a no go. This stuff is like a friggin sponge when it rains.

Yeah, it must be so light with nothing on the rear, I can see wheel weights being a necessity. How much of a hassle is it attaching the wheel weights? also, Whats your tractors width because that shot from behind makes it look narrower than mine.

Again, beautiful property you got there.

Glad to see you have the trampoline strapped down. We had one for our kids for many years. The thing nearly blew away once in a storm. I anchored that sucker down after that. Used 4 corkscrew anchors.

I’d need to measure it, but I’m guessing pretty similar to your kioti. It’s comparable to a Deere 1025. It’s a Kubota bx23s. 23hp diesel. It’s a 1000 series basically.

And thanks very much. So happy we moved. We love it here. I think k we have 4 corkscrews, so same as you.

1 bandaid? No contusions? No hornets kisses?

YOURE DOING IT WRONG!!!!!
It is on my ass. 3” diameter broken branch. I may have fallen on it. Better than falling on the saw. Went through my pants and drawers. Ended up being a minor scrape.

I dropped a couple trees a few years back that were ate up by carpenter ants. Wife was out in the yard supervising. I dropped about a 30-35’ one and got swarmed by hornets. I’m dancing around the yard trying to get away from them and she’s laughing her adz off. She thought I was being silly celebrating until I yelled to “GET THE DAMN HOSE!!!!” I received 11 hornet kisses that day.

Damn. That’s a thing for sure. My wife would have been doing the same thing. She asked when I fell if I was ok. I said it depends on what you see when I turn around.

Wasted last 2 days. . . Scheduled for a septic tank pumping out. So shuffling stuff out of way and not doing other things. Finished out night late polished several shots of rye whisky called it a night to get up early to get dog out for bathroom break before septic service shows up. Dog decided to leave a larger deposit on porch late at night "I find in morning. Clean it up hose off porch, drink coffee eat breakfast, see septic service looking for driveway. Flag driver down, the driver doesn't think can pump out septic tank and then get out of driveway without dragging fuel line. So she said I need to contact someone else to do it. Same company that originally cleaned it out when I moved in and the driveway had a 3 ft deep ruts in it. :headbang: :headbang: I kinda understand she was riding with her father then not the driver.
Now filled in with several tons of rocks and few tons of concrete. I did "leave" a gatekeeper to keep cars out and the bottom and above the rocks/ concrete are sinking/ washing out. So hooked up my pond prowler boat hit up a local creek with the dog.

Doesn't sound wasted at all. Sounds like making lemonade out of lemons. Especially having Dog to supervise.

Recasted 15 lbs of lead scuba weights into round balls for "soft weights" yesterday.

Prior batch in second picture, I cast them originally in 1996, with the steel cylinders I did have I didn't need weights for many years even with drysuit. I didn't want to part with them but when I moved sold house and downsized I had to decide what to part with over 124 pounds in 2 "tanks" moving them around and getting filled serviced ect wasn't always easy.
Along with deciding to maybe build a deck at front of my cabin now. Everytime I get a "good idea" starting. Maybe a 5-6 foot walking area about 16 ft long for starter. Was thinking that I was going to install upgrade steering linkage on JT yesterday. . . Sidetracked from that one.
