New Recall NHTSA 24V-652: Instrument Panel Cluster IPC Failure & Replacement (9/5/24)

Hello all, looks like I'll be sending my 7" in. It's been off and on for awhile now and seems to have given up. However, since the screen is blank, I don't know what the mileage is. Best I can do is a ballpark unless I get lucky and it comes back to life again. Is there a way to see the mileage without the screen? Does it really matter?

If you have a scan tool like JScan or similar, there is a PID in the Drivetrain Control Module for the odometer. The IPC also stores the mileage separate and probably is still retained if you have your cluster repaired and they just change the screen.

Speaking of swapping out the screen, I found this thread on the Wrangler forum. Anyone know if the part number is the same for ours? Sure looks the same.

United Radio will fix them for like a $225 flat fee. They are the return shop for this recall also.

Yeah, at the moment, the Gladiator is my only vehicle so was thinking it'd be nice to avoid the down time while it's out for repair if I could just replace the screen myself.

Well, got lucky today and the screen flickered long enough for me to get the mileage.
