Found starter relay with added wire to one of its pins going to ground. Need a new fuse panel and likely more. Ordered that and a new starter. At least ai understand the battery system better and have eliminated the Aux. Surprised how bad this is for a 2020, I get how the prior owner gave up after new motor, trans and whatever spurred this fuse panel hack. A 6 yr old car shouldnt take this much work to keep going. Ok, rant over, going to find a buddy to help me push it into the garage so I can prep it for parts that hopefully arrive soon.

Update: Replaced power distribution box (fuse box under hood) and it came with all new fuses, relays and high power fuse bar. Cool. Started right up. Ordered 2 kayaks from TSC and drove jeep to backyard, hooked up trailer, on the way out I remembered that I forgot my hat and a water bottle, so turned jeep off. 2 min later Jeep no starts. No Jump.

Pushed "buy the damn Bronco 7spd manual I was looking at" button.

When I got the Bronco home, I tried starting the Jeep as its on my front lawn with trailer connected. Fired right up. Unhooked trailer and parked it in front of my garage.

Today, tried Jeep using remote start, fired right up. Let it idled and it was remote started and wouldnt restart. Tried starting from inside car as 2 in a row remote start lockout. No start.

Going next steps, maybe IBS as the short to ground sent power spike to ground which could have damaged IBS. Will try some starts, drive for awhile, park followed by hot start to see what needs replacing next.

Decided to keep the Jeep as a project and have the bronco for the reliable second car, I like the manual, the softop on the Bronco but like the truckbed and length for towing on the Gladiator if I can ever get this Jeep sorted.

Did you replace the starter yet? I thought I read you ordered one.

I don't think it would be the IBS. You can unplug it and still drive the vehicle. It won't cause a no start condition.

When you say no start, it's not turning over? Just does nothing?

I havent replaced starter but I have a new one in my garage. Yah, nothing, no clunk, no crank, seems to be a software feature not triggering power to starter.
