No doubt. I can't justify it, but I love the idea and look. And the price isn't crazy. And it's dark saddle is... well... dark. The new Indian scout bobber is a good looking bike. I’ve been debating on getting one for about a year.
Around here, the soldiers at Bliss are snapping up those Scouts like hot cakes. I went with the Springfield myself. It’s been the best bike I’ve ever owned. And American owned and made right in Spirit Lake, Iowa. https://www.indianmotorcycle.com/en-us/spirit-lake-manufacturing-facility/No doubt. I can't justify it, but I love the idea and look. Maybe I don't need a Gladiator that bad...

Can’t get much more iconic than Indian...Not a fanboy of anyone or anything. Nor a Harley snob. However, Like it or not, there are Iconic products and brands and in my opinion, Harley Davidson, Smith & Wesson and Jeep are three of them. (A blind person can tell you they are listening to a Harley) The fact that they are made in the U.S.A. will score points with many including myself. Are these products worth it? That is answered by a person's financial situation as well as their perceived worth. As Americans, we are fortunate to have choices and choose accordingly.
Yes.....Just like Red Sox vs. Yankees! Indians are truly great bikes Even though they lack product year stamina!![]()

The 111 Thunderstroke Motor was tested to 1 million miles in its design stage. There are reports of 111’s with well over a 100k miles already with hardly a hiccup. Mine is close to 30k in the two years I’ve owned it and all I’ve had to do is change the oil as scheduled. Awesome machines, couldn’t b happier. Check em out...Yes.....Just like Red Sox vs. Yankees! Like I said, I don’t have any allegiance to any brand. I’ve ridden Harley’s and test rode them along with the Indian before I bought. Before I bought my Springfield I had two Triumphs. I just go where the quality is.[/QUO
I would never argue that a Harley belongs at the top of a Quality list. If I were doing very long trips it would be hard to equal the reliability of a Honda. However, I don't want a Honda. There aren't too many bad choices that I can think of when it comes to bikes. And although I am partial to Harley's, for reasons others my not agree with, I still admire several other brands, Indian being one of them. I'm at a point in life where it's time to thin out the motorcycle herd. Anyone interested in a first Year (2002) V Rod with 2 miles? At this point I'm thinking it wasn't a good strategy relative to recouping my money! Perhaps the kids will benefit in another 20 years!? When it comes to collecting or owning anything, diversity is a good thing. I love to bust chops with friends regarding some of the choices we make. I wish you good luck with all your vehicles and ride safe! The 111 Thunderstroke Motor was tested to 1 million miles in its design stage. Owned 2 Honda fury choppers at different times in my life. Both were very well made bikes and they looked goodI would never argue that a Harley belongs at the top of a Quality list.
